Why is my iron leaking water?
  1. Boiler has not been primed
  2. Red light is on while pushing the steam button
  3. It may be over filled
  4. Make sure your steam dial is not on continuous steam.
  5. Iron screw cap may not be tight enough
  6. The heating plate is cooling down due to heating plate cooling down

Why do I have to empty my iron after every use?
  1. To ensure when you use it next you do not over fill the iron
  2. Any remaining water may calcify the iron

What water do I use to fill the iron?
  1. Distilled water, because it is pure and free from minerals that normally cause build-up inside the iron’s steam chamber.

How do I get continuous steam?
  1. Turn your upper steam dial all the way clockwise to the right

How do I get bursts of steam?
  1. Make sure your upper steam dial is all the way counter clockwise to the left and then push the steam button.

Why does my iron run out of steam quickly?
  1. When using the iron with continuous steam, your tank will last 3-5 minutes, it is suggested to use your steam button only, you can get just as much steam as if your continuous steam is on.

How do I clean my iron?
  1. Fill your measuring cup with ½ water and ½ vinegar solution, screw the cap on, plug the iron in, when the red light goes out, allow for it to continue heating for 3-5 minutes, unplug the iron, allow to cool for ½ hour, shake, drain, rinse twice, DO PRESS THE STEAM BUTTON WHILE VINEGAR SOLUTION IS INSIDE THE IRON.  This process may be done 2-3 times if necessary.  Cleaning of the iron should be done every 2-3 months with minimal use.  For moderate use you should clean the iron every 1-2 months.

Why does the red light come on while in use?
  1. Once the water in the broiler reaches the appropriate temperature, the thermostat shuts the red light off.  When the water inside the broiler begins to cool the thermostat turns the iron again, there for the red light comes on.

Why does my iron lose pressure while steaming?
  1. As you use the steam button, the pressure inside the broiler is residing, give your iron a moment to rebuild pressure
  2. You may need to clean you iron.

Why is my iron not heating up enough?
  1. Make sure your temperature dial is set on 9 (turn all the way clockwise to the right) (on pre-Evolution models only).

Why is my iron heating up but not producing any steam?
  1. Your iron may need to be cleaned
  2. Adjust the steam dial to the off position and press the button , does the steam button work
  3. Is there water in the broiler

Why is steam leaking from the screw cap when I turn my iron on?
  1. The o-ring may need to be replaced
  2. The screw cap may not be tight enough

What are the 2 dials for?
  1. The upper dial (steam dial) is for continuous steam.  For continuous steam ensure your dial is all the way clockwise to the right and for no continuous steam make sure the dial is all the way counter clockwise to the left.
  2. The bottom dial (temperature dial) is for adjusting temperature for the sole plate (dial is simply a off/on switch on Evolution models), for best results leave your steam dial on 9

Why is my iron not steaming like it did at the show?
  1. You need to prime your broiler.  To prime your broiler you must fill your iron up with the measuring cup provided, plug your iron in and allow it to heat up and let the red light on your iron go off and on 3 times.  This process should be done before your first 7 uses of your iron.

How do I replace my O’ring?
  1. Unscrew the screw cap, once you have located your black or brown rubber o ring, remove it using a butter knife or something sharp and thin to pull it off.  Once the old o’ring is off, you can then put the new o’ring on.

Why do I have to replace the O’ring?
  1. The o’ring will be worn out due to the screwing and unscrewing of the plug.

How do I replace my backplate?
  1. Please send out a copy of the “Backplate Replacement Instructions”

My iron is steaming everywhere?
  1. The o’ring is worn out
  2. Your screw cap may not be tightly screwed

Why does the back of my iron keep catching on things?
  1. It is a manufacturers defect.  You need to take a file and smooth it out to the edge.

How do I remove marks off the sole plate (metal sole plate, pre-Evolution models only)?
  1. Clean sole plate with a damp cloth with a little bit of baking soda.  You can also use some warm water with a little salt.  There is also a product called iron off, you can find it at http;//www.joann.com/catalog.jhtml?CATID=181678&PRODID=12113
Never use abrasives on your sole plate.
